A pesky bug is making a bigger appearance in Texas this spring than usual. Love bugs have been out in full force in recent days and more people are being bugged behind the wheel. Mating season for these black bugs means headaches for drivers like you and me. Love bugs seem to be a magnet for cars. Amy Thomas of Anderson can't get them off her white SUV fast enough.

Uber said it plans to test flying cars by 2020, with the goal of eventually enabling customers to "push a button and get a high-speed flight in and around cities." The embattled ride-sharing company, which is facing a high-stakes intellectual property lawsuit over its self-driving car technology, said it is partnering with aircraft manufacturers to develop an "on-demand" network of "vertical take-off and landing vehicles."

Two Bowling Green-based brothers are betting big on Frankfort car washes. Geoff and Robbie Rather, both bankers, are pouring money into "Fast Freddy" car washes on both the east and west sides of town as well as in Shelbyville.

Spiffy, a Durham-based startup that provides on-demand car washes and other services, recently completed a financing round valued at $7.54 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company, which lets customers order mobile car washes through a smartphone app, exceeded the initial goal for the funding round, which was $5 million.

One of the most popular Dilbert comic strips in the cartoon’s history begins with Dilbert’s boss relaying senior leadership’s explanation for the company’s low profits. In response to his boss, Dilbert asks incredulously, "So they’re saying that profits went up because of great leadership and down because of a weak economy?" To which Dilbert’s boss replies, "These meetings will go faster if you stop putting things in context."
