Nearly 400 exhibitors and more than 8,100 attendees made this year's Show something to remember. And with more than 70 education sessions, attendees participating in education were sure to take something back to their business.

The newest Mike's Carwash at 814 Eastgate N. Drive celebrated its Grand Opening with a Free Ultimate Wash Weekend. 3,115 cars were washed and $10,058.90 was raised in donations for A Kid Again.

Parkland’s Rising Tide Car Wash, a business which employs adults with autism, appeared in the documentary series, "The Hero Effect," aired on April 8 on The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The show tells the story of how the company was launched in 2013 by John D’Eri. He was inspired by his son, Andrew, who was diagnosed with autism as a small child. Since it opened, it has created 75 jobs.

Zips Car Wash of Little Rock said Wednesday that it has acquired four Cascades Car Wash locations in and around San Antonio, Texas. The company, founded and led by Brett Overman, said the company plans to build a fifth location in the area.

Lakewood entrepreneur Cory Campbell is adding Tacoma’s Sprague Avenue Car Wash and Hazelwood Road Espresso to his Classy Chassis family of related retail outlets.

Hyde Fuel plans to add another car wash to its Nice ‘N’ Easy gas station and convenience store on Lake Flower Avenue. The project was conditionally approved Tuesday by the village Development Board. It involves construction of a second bay onto the back of the existing car wash building located behind the store.
