HR Horror Stories II Contest Winners

HR Professional is pleased to announce the winners of the HR Horror Stories Part II contest.

After cutting down the 60 entries to five of the best, HR Professional let readers across Canada vote for the top three HR Horror Stories. Here's what you chose:

First place goes to Chris Sopal of Lethbridge, AB for Do you know where your employees are?–a cautionary HR tale about the need to keep track of your staff, especially when they're prone to regular, day-long absences. Chris wins a trip to Orlando or Las Vegas.

Second place goes to Jamie Klomp of Timmins, ON for I Fired the Wrong Person, a gripping yarn guaranteed to make the most hardened HR professional cringe. Jamie wins a Blackberry Playbook.

And third prize goes to Dionne Quintin of Saskatoon, SK for The Flusher, a humorous story about the hazards of phone interviews. Dionne wins a one-year HR Professional subscription.

All three stories will be featured in an upcoming HR Professional magazine.
