We are now accepting proposals for concurrent session presentations for the 2015 HRMAM HR & Leadership Conference, 'Involve and Evolve'. If you have solutions, experiences and stories to share with Manitoba's HR professionals consider becoming a presenter. 

This year, applications will be submitted online. Click the link below to be redirected to the online submission form. Please take the time to read over the Presenter Proposal Guidelines prior to submitting your proposal. In this document you will find detailed information about the expectations, deadlines and selection process.

Designed to showcase outstanding Human Resource achievements in Manitoba, HRMAM's HR Excellence Awards honour employers and individuals who are leaders in diversity, development, impact and innovation. Eight Business Excellence Awards and five Professional Excellence Awards will be up for grabs this year and we look forward to celebrating the successes of all nominees with you. TalentC - People Services Inc. and HRMAm are pleased to offer the International Certification for Mentoring accredited by CSME. 

The Level 1 program, leading to Certified Mentor Practitioner (CMP) is a blend of academic and practical experience that prepares you for working with people and organizations to help them be the best they can be.

The Level 2 course is the second phase of the journey to a professional designation as a Certified Mentor Practitioner. This 2.5 day training course combines academic and practical experience, including a full day of case studies and the application of mentoring concepts in a controlled and safe environment. Day 3 (half day) provides time for reflection on what has been learned and the completion of an on-line examination as part of the certification process.

Whether you are a formal manager or want to increase your individual performance (or both), this program will teach you the foundational principles and brain science of Emotional Intelligence (EI). You will become a student of human behaviour: understanding what your brain does under pressure and how that affects your decision making and the impact you have on others.  In this leadership course, you will increase your personal leadership by learning how to manage your emotions in your most difficult moments, enabling you to perform and lead at your best, and connect with others in a more meaningful way.

The University of Winnipeg Professional, Applied and Continuing Education invites you to participate in an upcoming networking event for full-time Human Resource Management students - a Resumania. The students would value the opportunity to hear your experiences and expertise in the industry and the insight you would bring to this forum. 

Resumania is based on the speed-mentoring concept. It will provide the students with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with recognized HR professionals and get feedback on their resumes. Students will move round-robin across 20 stations, where they will have 6 minutes with each professional. The evening will end with a Mix & Mingle hors d'oeuvres networking hour.

The CHRP Validation of Professional Experience Assessment is a formal step in earning the CHRP designation that requires candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in Human Resources within the last ten years. 

To gain your CHRP designation through the assessment experience, CHRP candidates will be required to submit a completed application.  This application will need to be validated by your current employer.  In order to be eligible to submit an application you need to be a Candidate (someone who has passed the NKE) and have had your proof of degree verified.  

The next submission deadline is January 15.

CHRP candidates must complete an Experience Assessment requirement to obtain their CHRP designation. 

The Experience Assessment requires CHRP candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in Human Resources within the past ten years. The Experience Assessments have been in effect since February 2013. The Validation of Professional Experience Committee will be offering an information session on how to effectively complete the Validation of Experience requirement and answer any questions you may have. This session would be worthwhile for any individual who is seeking or considering obtaining their CHRP designation.

Formerly known as the Excellence in Leadership Awards, the HR Excellence Awards are designed to showcase outstanding Human Resource achievements in Manitoba, honouring employers and individuals who are leaders in diversity, development, impact and innovation. 

The HR Excellence Awards include two types of awards - Business Excellence Awards and Professional Excellence Awards.  The Business Excellence Awards include eight categories which align with the key professional practices of Human Resource Professionals, while the four Professional Excellence Awards are designed to recognize specific individuals for their unique contributions.  

HRMAM encourages organizations and individuals to nominate themselves or others for an HR Excellence Award by submitting an application to the HRMAM office.
