Effective leaders understand the wisdom to "manage themselves so others don't have to". The key to self management is understanding not only our strengths and weaknesses but understanding how to ensure our strengths do not become overpowering and unproductive. This session will help leaders and HR professionals reflect on their leadership strengths, explore the unintended shadow side of their strengths and learn self management practices.

The CHRP Experience Assessment is a formal step in earning the CHRP designation that requires candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in human resources within the last ten years. 

To gain your CHRP designation through the assessment experience, CHRP Candidates will be required to submit a completed application. This application will need to be validated by your current employer. In order to be eligible to submit an application you need to be a CHRP Candidate (someone who has passed the NKE) and have had your proof of degree verified.

The upcoming submission deadline is September 15.

What is UMHRA? The University of Manitoba Human Resource Association (UMHRA) is a group of enthusiastic students working towards becoming successful HR professionals. One of the goals of UMHRA is to promote and inform students about the HR profession and the importance of HR in all organizations. UMHRA hosts a variety of social and development events, such as monthly member meetings, opportunities to attend HR conferences, and the annual UMHRA Wine and Cheese.

The Opportunity - To enhance the experience for members, the UMHRA Executives are searching for HR professionals to give real-world insight to our aspiring members at monthly member meetings.
