You're invited to join us at our Executive Breakfast Series event, Time for HR to use their voice!, facilitated by MaryAnn Kempe, FCPHR, CHRO of Birchwood Automotive Group. Date: Wednesday, September 26, 2018 The Executive Breakfast Series, presented by Aon, will consist of a series of breakfast meetings where HR executives will be able to come together to discuss important issues and trends affecting their workplaces. In addition to breakfast, each session will feature a session host speaking for 10-15 minutes on a topic of interest followed by 45 minutes of roundtable conversation with participants. Date: Wednesday, October 10, 2018 Participating HR Executives: This event will feature a roundtable format where we pair a small group of young professionals with one HR executive. The HR executive will have 15 minutes to share their career journey, success stories and their advice to up and comers. You will have the opportunity to hear from four HR executives during the roundtable portion. What is Leadership Winnipeg? Leadership Winnipeg is a program, run by The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and Volunteer Manitoba, that strives to inspire you to make a difference within yourself and your community. Through 10 sessions from September to June, you’ll share experiences that moivate and help you to develop an understanding of yourself, your community and your role in it. You’ll be given a “backstage pass” to our city and be provided a unique, first‐hand perspecve on what’s happening in our community. Leadership Winnipeg is also about making introducons and connecons, and developing leadership skills and knowledge.
Take Our Kids to Work Day will occur on November 14. Since 1994, Take Our Kids to Work Day has provided Grade 9 students across Canada with the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a professional within a workplace, allowing students to explore the world of work and helping them make informed educational decisions.
