Register today! Validation of Professional Experience Information Session - November 21 12pm-1pm click here OR November 22 5pm-6pm click here

CPHR Candidates should attend at least one information session prior to submitting their Validation of Professional Experience (VPE) application. The info session will review the application form in detail and answer your questions related to submitting your VPE. Get your questions answered in person by Lori Brûlé, CPHR Designation Manager.

The Validation of Professional Experience (VPE) requires candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in human resources within the last ten (10) years (the length of experience required depends on the path taken).

The VPE requires Candidates to demonstrate experience at the professional level, which means that you must be using technical HR knowledge and have a level of autonomy in the application of your HR knowledge. Duties that are purely administrative requiring no HR knowledge are not considered.

For more details about the Validation of Professional Experience, please click here. Can't join us? Contact Lori Brûlé, CPHR Designation Manager by email at lori@cphrmb.ca or by phone at 204-943-3624.

What is a CPHR?

The CPHR designation represents a commitment to a national standard of excellence and sets a benchmark for the practice of effective Human Resources. It emphasizes the strategic role of HR management in business and plays an important role in securing HR's position as an equal business partner at the senior management table.

The CPHR designation signifies that an individual has achieved and continues to actively demonstrate mastery of the HR body of knowledge. Through a national examination and assessment process, each CPHR designate must demonstrate the core competencies relevant to the HR profession.

Certification is an essential tool for maintaining high performance standards. The designation assures employers, clients and other HR professionals that a CPHR has committed to abiding by Code of Ethics & Rules of Professional Conduct, a breach of which will result in disciplinary action including the possible removal of the designation.

You earn the confidence of your employer, colleagues and peers with the knowledge that you are a leader in your field, committed to achieveing HR excellence.

Did you know there are alternate paths to becoming a CPHR including a non-degree path? Click here to learn more or contact Lori Brûlé, CPHR Designation Manager, by email at lori@cphrmb.ca, or call 204-943-3624.

In June 2017, HR professionals from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia were invited to participate in the Western Canada HR Trends Survey. This survey has resulted in the production of two reports for CPHR members: the Western Canada HR Trends Report and the Manitoba HR Trends Report.

These reports are tools for HR practitioners and departments in Manitoba to make informed decisions with reliable information on what is occurring in Manitoba's workplaces. Good labour market information can help human resources practitioners make better decisions in giving human resources advice to their stakeholders. CPHR has commissioned this report to help fill the labour information void for our members and to discover industry benchmarks that can help human resources professionals make better talent management decisions.

You can find full copies of the reports here
