The NKE is an academic exam that is a requirement for many pursuing the CPHR designation and assesses one's knowledge of the Competency Framework. The exam is only offered twice per year, in June and November annually.

In-person Prep Course

CPHR Manitoba offers an in-person prep course in partnership with the British Columbia Human Resource Management Association.

This course is designed to help participants consolidate the knowledge they already have and - more importantly - identify where they need to focus additional studying in order to be successful in completing this multiple-choice assessment.

The Validation of Professional Experience is a formal step in completing the process to become a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) for all routes to the designation. 

There are three VPE intakes per year. The next submission deadline is May 15, 2017.

Continuing Professional Development signifies continued mastery of the CPHR Competency Framework and is a requirement to  maintain the CPHR designation. CPHRs are required to report a minimum of 100 hours of professional development activity over each rolling three year period and a minimum of 20 hours each year.  

All CPHR members must have all activities entered into their online log by May 31, 2017 for the period of June 1, 2014 - May 31, 2017.

We are currently seeking article submissions for our Spring 2017 issue of HRmatters, the bi-annual magazine of CPHR Manitoba. The theme of this issue if "Driving Business Excellence". As we celebrate the HR Excellence Awards in April 2017 and promote the launch of our new designation name, CPHR, the role HR plays in driving business excellence should be recognized and celebrated.

Articles published in HRmatters are eligible for CHRP Continuing Professional Development hours.
