To further support the Continued Professional Development needs of our growing population of Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRPs), and in recognition of the quality of some of the HR professional development programs offered throughout Manitoba, we are proud to introduce the HRMAM Accreditation Program.
 

The NKE is an academic exam that is a requirement for many pursuing the CPHR designation and assesses one's knowledge of the Competency Framework. The exam is only offered twice per year, in June and November annually.

In-person Prep Course

HRMAM offers an in-person prep course in partnership with the British Columbia Human Resource Management Association.

This course is designed to help participants consolidate the knowledge they already have and - more importantly - identify where they need to focus additional studying in order to be successful in completing this multiple-choice assessment.

Member Matters
The HRMAM office will be closed for the holidays from 12:00pm on Thursday, December 22, 2016 and will re-open on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
 

HRMAM along with CPHR Canada, has updated the Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct to govern the actions of our members. The Code sets out the duties owed by human resources professionals to employers, clients, employees, other professionals, the Association, and the public. It applies to all members whether working as employees, consultants or independent practitioners.

The Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA) is undergoing a review of its disability standards and recommendations are being sought from the public. HRMAM would like to encourage our members to become involved in the process by submitting a recommendation and/or attending the public forum scheduled for January 18.
 

We are currently seeking article submissions for our Spring 2017 issue of HRmatters, the bi-annual magazine of HRMAM. The theme of this issue if "Driving Business Excellence". As we celebrate the HR Excellence Awards in April 2017 and promote the launch of our new designation name, CPHR, the role HR plays in driving business excellence should be recognized and celebrated.

Articles published in HRmatters are eligible for CHRP Continuing Professional Development hours.
