Executive Breakfast Series - December 6

Topic: What is the Role of HR and the CHRO?

Each Executive Breakfast Series session features a host speaking for 10-15 minutes on a topic of interest followed by 45 minutes of roundtable conversation with participants. Registration is limited to the senior-most HR executive in each company.

At HRMAM, we are committed to building the strategic capability and organizational impact of HR practitioners, and providing value to our members.

To further support the Continued Professional Development needs of our growing population of Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRPs), and in recognition of the quality of some of the HR professional development programs offered throughout Manitoba, we are proud to introduce the HRMAM Accreditation Program.
 

Don't wait until May 31 to upload your CPD hours for 2016-2017. All CPHRs are required to have obtained a minimum of 20 hours of activities from June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017. These hours must be uploaded to your online log by May 31, 2017. Upload as you go to save you time and hassle!

Has your organization implemented a new program or initiative in the past 5 years? Has someone on your HR team been instrumental in the success of your organization and deserves to be recognized? Does your CEO support your HR department and endorse the HR function in your workplace? Do you have a student working with you that plays an important role on your team and who will be returning to full time studies in January? If you answered yes to any of these questions we want to see an application from you!

We would like to encourage all members to participate in the latest Western Canada HR Trends survey, an on-going research initiative HRMAM participates in along with the other Western provinces to collect information on the current labour market information. The results will provide valuable information for our members in making informed talent management decisions. 

Please take a few minutes to provide your feedback. You can find the link to the survey in an email you received from "Abingdon Research" on November 29, 2016.

The survey will close on December 22, 2016 at 8:00pm. 


 

We are currently seeking article submissions for our Spring 2017 issue of HRmatters, the bi-annual magazine of HRMAM. The theme of this issue if "Driving Business Excellence". As we celebrate the HR Excellence Awards in April 2017 and promote the launch of our new designation name, CPHR, the role HR plays in driving business excellence should be recognized and celebrated.

Articles published in HRmatters are eligible for CHRP Continuing Professional Development hours.
