Beginning June 1, 2016, changes came into effect that have resulted in changes to the reporting of CPD hours for CHRP members, the frequency of reporting and the number of hours required.

The new simplified reporting process requires all CHRPs to record CPD hours in an online reporting system that must be updated by May 31 each year. CHRPS are now required to report a minimum of 100 hours or professional development activity every three years on a cumulative basis and a minimum of 20 hours each year.

For more information about the recent changes, click here

Information sessions will be held in the fall to assist CHRP members in understanding the new requirements. To register for one of the sessions follow the applicable link below. A session in Brandon will be scheduled in the near future as well - stay tuned.

Effective immediately, members who have passed the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) and have not yet completed the Validation of Professional Experience (VPE) will be granted the ability to use "CHRP Candidate" as a professional title. Previously, candidates were referred to as such, but were not permitted the use of an official title. The CHRP is valued by the employment community and the ability to be officially recognized as a CHRP Candidate will provide you with additional recognition. You may use this title in resumes, business cards, emails, Linked-In or any other public profiles.
