How does the CHRO create business value? Les Dakens, former CHRO of Maple Leaf Foods and CN Rail will discuss his journey, his philosophy about the CHRO role, leadership characteristics of a good CHRO and working with the rest of the C-Suite.
At HRMAM, we are committed to building the strategic capability and organizational impact of HR practitioners, and providing value to our members.

Ad sales for the Spring issue of the HRmatters magazine are now open. HRmatters is HRMAM's largest publication offering your company maximum exposure to your target market of HR professionals. Published by Naylor, HRmatters is a great way to reach the HR niche, as the magazine is distributed in hard copy to all HRMAM members and handed out at community and HRMAM events. A digital copy is also archived on the HRMAM website.

For more information on advertising in the spring issue, please refer to Naylor's Media Kit or contact Kim Davies, Project Manager at Naylor (Canada) Inc.

HRmatters is HRMAM's biannual magazine, providing our readers with information on leading HR practices, professional trends and industry updates. To make this happen, we rely on article submissions from our readers and those with specialized knowledge of the human resource industry.

We are currently seeking article submissions for our Spring 2016 issue. The theme of this issue centres around 'Leadership at Work.' In the Fall of 2015 HRMAM began the conversation about promoting CHRPs (Certified Human Resource Professionals) as leaders in the workplace. We will continue this theme in the spring issue of HRmatters. HR demonstrated leadership everyday, in the creation of systems that allow individuals and teams to shine. HR professionals are leaders in ensuring the health and safety of people as they go about their daily work. They exemplify leadership in their ethical, professional dealings in sometimes challenging personal situations. They also help to create a culture of leadership in their workplaces through their actions and examples. Please keep this in mind when considering your submission and attempt to relate your content to this theme.

Articles published in HRmatters are eligible for CHRP Continuing Professional Development hours.

Deadline for submissions is March 11, 2016
