I love HR. But in all honesty, sometimes I forget why I love it. There are so many fancy, fancy bells and whistles these days, so many technology-driven tools, so much reliance on social media, that I sometimes lose sigh of HR's core business function: finding and retaining great careers for great people in great organizations.
