Transport Canada Issues New AC Regarding Missed Approaches with Published Climb Gradients

Attached for your information is a new Advisory Circular (AC) regarding Missed Approaches with Published Climb Gradients. The effective date for AC is July 18, 2018.
The purpose of the AC is to inform air operators that a Special Authorization (SA) is required in order to conduct instrument approach procedures that require a missed approach climb gradient greater than 425 ft/nm; and to provide information regarding the specific operating conditions. Although the SA has been available for some time and many operators already have their approvals, the AC provides further guidance and information regarding performance calculations, etc.
