Dear Members,

I would like to personally invite all of you to join us in Atlanta next month for the 2013 GTLA Holiday Workshop. This year’s program chairs – John Hadden and Rebecca Franklin – have done an extraordinary job putting together a top-notch lineup of speakers and we are pleased to be offering 6 CLE Credit Hours, including 3 Trial, 1 Ethics and 1 Professionalism. The Workshop will feature four engaging and unique focus areas, including: Obtaining Justice in 2013, Evidence & Discovery, Litigation Variety Hour and New Developments at the Capitol and the Courthouse. Make sure you check out the full agenda – this will be a can’t-miss Workshop.

There are fantastic social events surrounding the Workshop, including the Champion Appreciation Reception, Boone & Stone Holiday Party, Special Luncheon with Chief Judge John Ellington of the Georgia Court of Appeals, and a NEW Holiday Reception at the close of the workshop sponsored by Harris Penn Lowry LLP.  We are also pleased to welcome GTLA’s LEAD Program participants, who will be participating in "A Day with the Judiciary" in conjunction with our Workshop.

To view the full program agenda, please click here and make sure to register while you’re at it, which can be done by clicking here.

Finally, don’t forget that rooms are now available in GTLA's block for the discounted rate of $220/night, and can be booked online by clicking here or calling the hotel directly at (404) 563-7900. The hotel deadline is next week, November 29th, so make your reservations before it is too late!

I look forward to seeing you there!

WOMEN'S TRIAL LAWYER CAUCUS
GTLA's Women's Trial Lawyer Caucus hosted their first-ever 'Night Out' on Friday, Nov. 8. Beginning with a Happy Hour at the W Hotel in Midtown, the evening progressed as the ladies then made their way to the 14th Street Playhouse for the performance of A Courthouse Line X: Back in the Black - an original all-lawyer comedy musical parody of which all proceeds went to support the Atlanta Bar Foundation's charitable community efforts. It was a wonderful evening had by all!
