The New Lawyers Division has an ongoing project to collect books for the Douglas County Juvenile Court Reading Room. The Reading Room allows children from the court to visit, read and take home books in an effort to promote literacy. With a very generous contribution from Jeff Shiver and Alan Hamilton (pictured above) of Shiver Hamilton, along with those from various GTLA members, the NLD was able to donate more than $2,000 worth of books to Judge Peggy Walker (pictured above) and the Douglas County Juvenile Court Reading Room.
