We are less than a month away from the 2016 GTLA Trial Practice Manual Workshop! This year's workshop will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and will feature an in-depth analysis of the 8th Edition of the GTLA Trial Practice Manual. Sign up for the workshop to hear from the authors themselves as they walk you through the tool that has become every trial lawyer's must-have courtroom reference. In addition, the workshop offers participants 6 CLE Credit Hours, including 2 Trial, 1 Ethics and 1 Professionalism. This year's exciting agenda will even be made available to participants attending remotely via webcast! The rate to purchase a 2016 GTLA Trial Practice Manual is $325; however, seminar and webcast access are FREE with the purchase of a TPM. This event is exclusive to GTLA members, so you won't want to miss it!

LEAD Program

Tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 19 is the last day to submit your application for the 2016-2017 LEAD Program! GTLA's LEAD (Leadership Education & Advanced Direction) Program has earned a well-deserved reputation as the premier leadership and legal training program for young trial lawyers in our state. Designed to recognize the rising stars of GTLA and to provide them with the necessary tools to succeed both in and out of the courtroom, LEAD alumni have already joined the GTLA Executive Committee, taking on active leadership roles in our lobbying efforts in Atlanta and D.C., raising thousands of dollars for our Civil Justice PAC and elected officials, and so much more. GTLA's LEAD Program will provide an intimate (12-15 member) class of participants with hands-on, practical legal education, leadership training and unparalleled networking opportunities over the course of six sessions. Current members who are 35-years-old or younger OR who have less than 10 years of practice experience are eligible to apply. For trial lawyers looking to make an impact in both the courtroom and our association, there is simply no better way to jump start your legal career than through the GTLA LEAD Program.

Communications

With more than 225 attendees, the 2016 Paralegal & Legal Assistant Workshop was the largest paralegal workshop in GTLA history! The workshop agenda, appropriately titled "The Lifecycle of a Case," was focused on the vital work of legal support staff, from the very first steps of client intake through the final steps at trial, to provide participants with readily-applicable, practice-ready education that they were able to take back to their practices.

Thank you to all of our wonderful speakers and to our sponsors for making this event such a resounding success!
