Roger Tutterow, Ph.D. is a professor of economics at Kennesaw State University. He also serves as director of the Econometric Center, an applied research center housed in KSU’s Coles College of Business. In addition to his work in academia, Dr. Tutterow has served as a consultant on financial economics and statistical modeling for corporate clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to closely held businesses.

For the last four years, he has been selected by Georgia Trend magazine as a "notable Georgian." In 2003, Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue appointed Dr. Tutterow to serve on the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors, a capacity that he continues to serve in for current Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal.

Justin Barnes is an attorney in the Atlanta office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Mr. Barnes represents employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies on a variety of labor and employment related issues, including collective and class action wage and hour disputes, labor arbitrations, allegations of discrimination, and employment-related contract disputes.

  Jay Markwalter, TMP, Director of Sales for the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), has accepted a new position as the Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (GACVB). Markwalter has served in the Destination Marketing Organization industry for more than 15 years, proving to be a leader in tourism-based economic development. In his new role, Markwalter will lead GACVB’s mission to serve as the unified voice for Georgia’s tourism industry.
 
  Association Services Group (ASG) is pleased to announce the Florida Watermelon Association (FWA) has selected ASG for full service management, effective March 1, 2018. The FWA is comprised of watermelon growers and marketers of Florida watermelon. They aim to unite and organize membership to promote the consumption of watermelons grown in Florida.

Any organization in Georgia that employs at least one GSAE member may apply. The applications are due May 1 and will be judged on the quality of the internship experience described in the application rather than on the qualifications of the student who will fill the internship. It is the responsibility of the organization to recruit a qualified student to fill the internship, but this may be done after the GSAE Foundation announces which applications will be funded.
