GMIS member since March 2012
Number of IT staff: 1

What has been a significant technology achievement for you or your organization?
The most significant I would say was the ability to implement a network connecting all Village locations. This has allowed us to implement VoIP to all departments. It has also allowed us to centralize servers and virtualize those servers. It has allowed us to use NAS storage, group policies, remote access to desktops for repair, WSUS for updates, and other things as well.

What future initiatives are you hoping to accomplish in the next year?
Complete the implementation of Virtual Clients for the majority of our users.

Best advice you could offer your fellow members is...
Always check the Data Dive and ask for input from fellow members.

We all know GMIS membership is worth its weight in gold but what do you feel is the best benefit you get out of GMIS?
Having colleagues to bounce questions off of.
