Nominations Now Accepted for the GMIS International Executive Board Election!

Nominations are now being accepted for the GMIS International Executive Board through Friday, July 17, 2015. Individuals may nominate themselves or another member they feel would be an excellent candidate to serve on the International Board. 

Nominations are being accepted for the following positions:

• 1st Vice President (President-elect)

• 2nd Vice President

• 3rd Vice President

• 4th Vice President

• Treasurer

• International Director

• Membership Development Director
Please refer to the position descriptions and board responsibilities available on the GMIS web site. This information will help you better understand the typical duties and responsibilities for service as a board member. Per GMIS International Bylaws, candidates must be designated representatives of agency member organizations to serve on the Executive Board.

Nominations can be submitted via the online form and must be received at GMIS Headquarters by 5:00 pm Central Standard Time on Friday, July 17, 2015. Individuals may nominate themselves or another member they feel would be an excellent candidate to serve on the International Board. Please note, submission of the Letter of Support is strongly encouraged, but not required.  

Headquarters will verify nominee eligibility, willingness to serve, and forward all eligible candidates to the nominating committee to review qualifications for each open position with each nominee. Once the nomination period is complete, GMIS Headquarters will distribute an electronic ballot via email with specific login instructions to the Voting Representative for each Agency. 
 
We hope you will consider nominating yourself or someone to serve on the GMIS Board. The success of GMIS is built on the knowledge and experience of our members and their willingness to serve. We look forward to an outstanding slate of candidates who will continue the GMIS tradition of service.
