We are just weeks away from descending upon Savannah! Stellar speakers, GMIS friends, vendors with public sector IT solutions, and one of the best U.S. historic and culture rich venues are blending together for what will no doubt be an awesome 2014 GMIS International Conference!

This year’s exceptional conference committee has put together some incredible opportunities to explore Savannah throughout the conference which bring together this year’s "The Art of IT" conference theme in some very innovative and exciting ways! We are offering pre-conference trolley and bike tours of historic Savannah on Sunday for those who arrive early. Our Sunday opening reception will be followed by a haunting walking ghost tour of Savannah for all of the attendees. On Monday evening, we will walk across the street to Moon River Brewing Company, which is Savannah's only brew pub to enjoy delicious food, refreshing beverages and some great networking! On Wednesday afternoon, we are going hit the streets of Savannah and do a walking IT tour to the City of Savannah’s Data Center and Emergency Operations Center! Twenty or so lucky winners of our "Port Tour" prize will have the opportunity to visit Savannah’s impressive port operations to learn more about the technology and security implemented at one of the fastest Atlantic seaports in the U.S.! We will then conclude our 2014 conference with a scenic dinner cruise on the Savannah River!

Again this year’s conference is going to be awesome, and we will all reap immeasurable benefits with the knowledge, skills, networking and friendships that will be our incredible "takeaways" from Savannah!

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

2nd VP of GMIS International and 2014 Co-Conference Director
