Kaizen: It's the Japanese word for "continuous improvement." That is the essence of what GMIS is all about!

Hopefully you will enjoy this new and improved GEM newsletter. A lot of sweat equity was invested to launch the new GEM, and we are excited about the end product. Not only has the GMIS Board been busy improving the GEM newsletter, but we also have been working to improve the GMIS.org website. And we guarantee you that the next GMIS International Conference will be one of the best ever. Kaizen. Please put August 17-20 in Savannah, Ga., on your calendar. This will be one international conference you will not want to miss!

As the GMIS Board discussed all the improvements that are on the table, I started to really appreciate the Power of GMIS. This excellent professional community has helped me in many ways, including keeping me current on leading-edge trends in our industry, learning about best practices that I can bring back to my organization, impressing my boss with my knowledge and building lasting professional friendships. And dare I say with all that I have gained from GMIS, I have even inspired my kids. That alone is worth the price of admission.

GMIS has the power to instantly improve your professional life, your professional relationships and your career. Take advantage of our current and future offerings. GMIS offers you positive, practical, empowering and inspirational ideas on how to improve every step of your professional journey. GMIS will help the you-of-tomorrow to be better than the you-of-today. Kaizen.
