EMMC Highlights Clean Energy

The 2017 EMMC conference took place at the scenic Algonquin Resort in St. Andrews by the Sea, New Brunswick on August 13 and 14. The annual conference includes Provincial and Federal Energy and Mines Ministers from across Canada and other energy stakeholders. Nathalie St-Pierre, President and CEO, Mélanie Levac, Vice-President, Regulatory Affairs and Safety, and Jean-François Duguay, Director, Government Relations, Quebec and Atlantic Canada represented the Canadian Propane Association at this event. 
 
The theme for the 2017 EMMC focused on the growth of clean energy. Highlights of the conference included a session on growing clean energy with stakeholders, indigenous leaders and representatives. Presentations were given by the energy and mines industry, discussion and comments from the Ministers, followed by a Q&A. Other informative sessions included Future of Energy and Mines and Innovative Policy to Support Clean Technology. The 2018 EMMC will be in Nunavut.
