With the upcoming federal election, scheduled for October 21, government initiatives and programs are mostly on pause as the focus moves to campaigning.
This is an interesting election from an environmental perspective, with the issue of climate change being central to most campaigns. Much of the Liberal focus in the past four years has been rolling back changes that the Conservatives made to the Fisheries Act and the environmental process and it will be interesting to see if these changes are revoked under a Conservative government.
