Drinking Water Helpline at The Walkerton Clean Water Centre

Since 2016, the Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) has supported Ontario’s drinking water system owners, operators, operating authorities, and the public through the operation of a drinking water helpline. The helpline allows WCWC staff to respond to technical calls and provide information to address questions related to drinking water treatment processes, equipment, operational requirements and environmental factors. Please note, the helpline services provided by WCWC are not intended to be a hotline. WCWC will respond to your inquiry during business hours, Monday to Friday. In the event of an emergency or a suspected adverse water quality incident, callers are advised to contact the appropriate authority as prescribed by the regulations.

WCWC coordinates and provides education, training and information to drinking water system owners, operators and operating authorities, and the public, in order to safeguard Ontario’s drinking water.
