CWWA Executive Director to Speak to Water Leaders

As CWWA’s executive director, I am scheduled to speak to water leaders at two national water events this spring. As spokesman for our association, I have been invited to speak on behalf of our utility sector as part of two industry panels.

The first discussion is at the Blue Cities event May 17th and 18th in Toronto. This is a very strong program for water thinkers put together by our colleagues at the Canadian Water Network. I am part of a panel titled "Innovation in a World of Regulations, Policies and Guidelines" and will speak to CWWA efforts and messaging to the federal government around the federal budget and infrastructure funding. See the full program and registration details at: http://bluecities.ca/

The second session is at the Canadian Water Summit in Toronto on June 22nd, technically the first day of summer.  I will be part of what has been set up as a very fast-paced session on water association collaboration and what we want from the federal government. This Summit is a fascinating one-day event hosted by our media partners at Water Canada magazine.  This day of water discussions focuses on the ‘business of water’ bringing together large corporations, government leaders, academics and not-for-profit groups to find common ground on national water issues. As utilities, we should be part of this national dialogue.  I encourage you to check out the full program and registration details at: http://www.watersummit.ca/
