SCC is looking for young managers, engineers and technicians (aged 20 to 35 years old) to participate in this year’s competition to send one lucky individual to the 6th Annual IEC Young Professionals workshop in Minsk, Belarus from October 12-14 2015.

This is the ONLY workshop for the next generation of experts that provides a holistic understanding of the standardization and conformity assessment work of the IEC. Applicants are encouraged to provide a visually-appealing, unique representation of themselves and their connection to the standardization community. We encourage the use of social media, video and any related visual material that will stand out.

The winner of this competition will benefit by being able to:

  • Participate in exceptional networking opportunities with over 1,000 international key players.
  • Gain experience attending an IEC General Meeting with all expenses paid.
  • Learn how international standards are managed and developed by attending management and technical meetings.
  • Observe the Standardization Management Board (SMB) or the Conformity Assessment Board (CAB).
The deadline for submitting applications is April 30, 2015, following which SCC will review all applications. Winner will be selected by May 5, 2015. The winning candidate will be featured in a news article posted on SCC’s website, Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as on our business network, SCC Connect.
