CWWA Meets with Turkish Embassy

A meeting between CWWA and the Turkish Embassy was held on February 12th in Ottawa. CWWA’s representative Adrian Toth was received by the Turkish Councillor, Mr. Hakan Cengiz who showed a particular interest in the water sector. Adrian introduced the Association with its activities, role and achievements, and presented some of the current files technical committees are working on. An invitation to attend CWWA’s events, Window on Ottawa and National Water and Wastewater Conference was extended to Mr. Cengiz and to any representative of the Turkish government interested in attending and delivering a speech on challenges, solutions and lessons learned in the Turkish water sector. 

Adrian was accompanied by Hiran Sandanayake, Chair of CWWA’s Climate Change Committee, Sarah Chippure, Policy Advisor at Public Safety Canada, and Amy Hum, Policy Analyst at Public Safety Canada who each provided a briefing on their current activities. Ways of collaboration were explored during the meeting.
