2017 Events

CWWA has been very busy planning for our 2017 Events, and we want to update you on the latest on our Annual Window on Ottawa and the National Water and Wastewater Conference.
Visit the CWWA website
The Window on Ottawa is less than three weeks away! If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to do so soon – make sure you add on our Specialty Workshop on Urban Water Management – which is shaping up to be a fantastic interactive opportunity for our delegates.

The complete updated agenda is online, so you can browse our line-up of speakers and topics.

We’ve also planned some special networking events for our delegates
Join us for our Annual Dinner - this offsite reception will feature great food, and networking, at a fantastic venue that will get you out of the hotel, and enjoying some of the great sights Ottawa has to offer.
Tuesday, June 6 - Watch the Ottawa Champions play ball. Take advantage of our special group rate to take in a ball game while you're in town, and enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and more. Tickets are $30 with alcohol or $25 without. Contact awilson@cwwa.ca for more information.
We’re working hard on finalizing registration for the National Water and Wastewater Conference – in the meantime we’ve shared the fees on our website.

The Call for Presentations is over, and we received a fantastic response. Our Program Committee is currently reviewing all submissions, but we anticipate a strong technical program.
One of the best part of our National Water and Wastewater Conference is the networking and social activities. We’ve planned some incredible opportunities.

First we’ve arranged special pricing on some incredible tours of St. John’s – for many visiting this incredible city is a rare opportunity, so take advantage of it, by extending your stay and getting a taste of what Newfoundland has to offer. Visit the Conference website to learn more, and sign up.
Our Opening Reception will take place at The Rooms – immersing you in the culture of Newfoundland and Labrador. With dramatic space, incredible views and fascinating collections this will be an evening to remember.

Tuesday night, visit St. John’s infamous George Street, which has the most bars and pubs per square foot of any street in Canada. Come experience the famous nightlife of downtown St. John’s in this pub crawl for National Water and Wastewater Conference delegates. Get ready to enjoy a traditional fish and chips dinner, learn local step dancing and some local songs, and to be welcomed into the Order of Screechers. It is a time to be remembered for years to
