The creation of new committees and task forces, and the publication of a range of new documents, are just some of the activities that have occupied the Member Services Council in recent months. Here is an update.

Each month we give Canada's actuaries an opportunity to highlight recent career moves, promotions, and other achievements. Don’t miss this opportunity to keep your peers informed about you and your company.

By Catherine Robertson, FCIA
The International Actuarial Association is producing a series of international standards governing key aspects of actuarial work. The CIA recently commented on the latest, ISAP 3, which involves International Accounting Standard 19.

In the latest of our series of profiles of enterprise risk management practitioners, Kathryn Hyland explains the benefits of following a career path outside the norm.

This feature in the (e)Bulletin gives members an opportunity to tell their peers about themselves via the answers to 10 straightforward and fun questions. The questionnaire is a way of temporarily turning the focus away from the day-to-day work of actuarial science and more towards the people who make up the profession.
