The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) recently announced increases in the agency’s charges for voluntary inspection services for a wide variety of products. The new fees for processed fruits and vegetables will be effective October 1, 2017.

The Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) initiated a rulemaking in 2016 to expand the list of severe work-related injuries that all employers must report.
 
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated FDA.gov to include updated fact sheets and new guidance as a resource for importers subject to the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) Rule, which makes them responsible for verifying that food imported into the United States has been produced in a manner that meets applicable U.S. safety standards.
