Qualified students may now submit applications for CLFP’s 2016-17 Scholarship Program. There are a variety of scholarships available to eligible individuals in the $32,000 scholarship program, including a new scholarship approved by CLFP's board of directors in April.

July 1 was the deadline for California Legislative Policy Committees to hear bills in their second house and marked the beginning of the Legislative summer recess. Several key labor, water, energy and recycling bills that CLFP has been actively engaged on have either advanced from or been held in these policy committees.

The meetings were part of CLFP's eight annual Capitol Day on June 21. Bills discussed included those related to labor, water, energy and the environment.
