Early registration deadline approaches for General Accounting, Finance & Audit Spring Meeting

The early registration deadline for the General Accounting, Finance & Audit Spring Meeting is this Friday, March 28. The meeting will be held April 24-25 in Washington, D.C.

The GAFA Spring Meeting is an opportunity for public power professionals in the areas of accounting and finance to gather in a small group environment to discuss timely issues and earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits. This year’s agenda includes:

•    Controls and Allocations for Pole Attachments
•    Best Practices on Disclosure Policies
•    Building a Positive Relationship with the Rating Agency
•    Rating Agency Public Power Outlook
•    Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Update
•    Impact of Regulatory and Legislative Initiatives
•    Discussion Forum

The cost to participate is $300 for individuals registering before March 28; the registration fee will increase to $350 after that.

Participants in the 2014 General Accounting, Finance & Spring Meeting will have the opportunity to earn up to 13.5 continuing professional education credits in public accountancy. Attendees can also earn continuing education units and professional development hours.
