In addition to workloads and regulations, factors that can lead to increased physician stress and burnout include increasing costs and tightening reimbursement. 
 
For telemedicine to achieve widespread adoption, it will be necessary to address issues with perceptions of the practice, reimbursement, and infrastructure.
 
Patient non-compliance sometimes is the result of financial hardships that some patients are reluctant to discuss with their physician.
