Fred Stringfellow, CAE, is currently serving as Treasurer of AMCI and is on the Executive Committee. He is also the liaison to the Outreach and Engagement Task Force (OETF), which keeps the Board apprised of OETF’s priorities and reciprocally keeps the task force informed of AMCI’s overall strategic direction and ensures that any opportunities to leverage other committee’s activities are taken.

As one of the metrics for our social and content marketing efforts, we reference Klout as a measure of online influence. AMCI had some great success around AMCs Engaged! as our Klout score grew from 33 to 44. We’ve leveled off a bit to 41, but that growth did cause us to take a look at how we could continue to enhance our impact and to take a look at how others are faring.

We’ve been looking at trending hashtags as a way to open up our thinking about the content we have and want to share. We’ve used event hashtags like #AMCsEngaged and monitor #assnchat to ensure we’re participating in relevant conversations and are learning what’s on the minds of our colleagues, but day of the week hashtags also offer some great opportunities.

Among the big issues we all wrestle with is staffing and succession planning. We are making that subject the focus of our content efforts in November so if you have something to share – a video, whitepaper, blog post, infographic – please forward it on to us by October 16th.

Thanks for taking a read of our last newsletter and a big thanks to those of you who submitted materials! We’d love to get your comments on it and on our new website. And we hope you’ll keep the content submissions coming! We really want to do our part to amplify the great work being done in our industry, so if you have any white papers, articles or other pertinent information that your company has created and would like to share with AMCI, please email Tonya Richardson at trichardson@amcinstitute.org. Of course, your content will be attributed to you and/or your company.

Also, your thoughts or any topics you would like to see featured or discussed in future newsletters would be most welcome. Thank you!

As the old Russian proverb states: ‘It is better to see once than to hear a hundred times." That pretty much describes why infographics -- from cave paintings to today’s digital versions – are so ubiquitous. As quick and clear visual representations of information, knowledge or data, infographics are impactful and highly shareable.

As Seen On

We thought AMCI’s groundbreaking Financial Impact Study would generate a lot of buzz during the recent AMC’s Engaged! and ASAE Annual Meeting in Detroit. And it did. Following our press conference, both ASAE and Association Trends published key outcomes of the research – in fact it was one of the leading stories in ASAE’s daily!
