Message from the President
Dear ASHHRA Colleagues,

It’s November, time for turkey and reflecting on what we are thankful for.  I am thankful for my family, friends, my health and of course for those who know me well, football.  It’s also the month during which we celebrate our veterans.  Although just like Thanksgiving, we shouldn’t just take one day or one month to be grateful or to thank them for their service to our country.

As I reflect on all the things for which I am thankful, it includes all the special professional relationships I have had the privilege to develop through my ASHHRA membership. I am also thankful for the incredibly hardworking ASHHRA staff that makes membership a special experience.

It’s never too early to start making your plans for next year’s ASHHRA Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas, September 24 – 27, 2016.  Registration is already open for those who want to be the early bird!

You can also round out your year by sitting for the CHHR exam. ASHHRA has the self-study guide available for you to study before you sit for the exam. Get more information from the ASHHRA website or click here.
Wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving!  May you reflect on all that you are thankful for and have an enjoyable holiday!

Strategic Leaders for Healthcare’s Future,

Debbie Rubens, CHHR, SPHR-CA, SHRM-SCP
