The U.S. labor market stumbled in May, according to government data released Friday, adding just 38,000 jobs despite other signs that the economy has recovered from the global unrest earlier this year. The Labor Department's monthly tally of net job creation was the weakest reading in six years, falling far short of analysts' expectation for solid growth of 160,000 jobs. However, the unemployment rate fell from 5 percent to 4.7 percent percent in May.
