The incumbent is primarily accountable for the planning, implementation and operation of the department in order to meet the needs of the organization. The Director will provide leadership and expertise in the management of the department. Manages a variety of Finance projects with a focus on developing business plans for new programs and evaluating results of established programs. Provides support for routine financial projects including development, analysis and execution of the annual operating and capital budgets as well as the five-year plan. Provides comprehensive financial and statistical information and prepares and presents analytical reports related to costs, product lines, and reimbursement. Promotes a collaborative relationship with clinical and operations staff at all levels of the organization, through interactions as an Accounting department liaison and business advisor.

The clinical nurse manager for CSICU is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Supervises patient care services staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and developing staff with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Serves as chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.

The incumbent is primarily accountable for the planning, implementation and operation of the Decision Support department meeting the needs of the organization. The Director will provide leadership and expertise in the management of the departments, while being accountable for human resource management, financial management, and quality management in support of the mission, vision and strategic objectives of YRMC. The Director of Nursing for Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health reports to the Service Line Administrator of the Children’s Hospital and the Service Line Administrator for Women’s Health. Under limited supervision, the Director of Nursing for Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health provides clinical leadership and direction to inpatient areas of the Children’s Hospital and Perinatal Service, directing all clinical and support activities. This role directs the delivery of services ensuring integration with service line initiatives, performance improvement measures, strategic, business, and organizational goals/objectives. This position collaborates with academic units to promote and support academic research opportunities within the Children’s Hospital and Perinatal Services.
