Naval Support Activity Panama City has several missions that are unique to only this base. One of them, the Navy Experimental Diving Unit, has a new program that enables deep sea diving anytime, anywhere, and for longer time periods.

At age 29, Leslie Nichols has her dream office: a fully submerged International Space Station. Nichols is part of the NASA dive team at the agency’s Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory near Houston, assisting astronauts and cosmonauts from around the world as they prepare for life in zero gravity.
