Welcome to the 2016 ACI-NA/World Annual Conference and World Annual General Assembly! We are very excited to have you with us in Montreal this week. For those of you following along at home, our Centerlines LIVE daily newsletter will keep you up to date on the largest "for airports, by airports" gathering in the world.

As you know, ACI-NA’s mission is to "advocate policies and provide services that strengthen the ability of airports to serve their passengers, customers and communities," and to provide consistent value to the industry. One way we do this is by organizing high-quality conferences to educate members on the latest topics, and provide a forum for the sharing of ideas and best practices and significant networking opportunities. Every year we strive to put together the best conferences in the industry, and we look to our own members for inspiration.

New for this year’s conference, ACI-NA has implemented Sustainable Conference Guidelines developed with our Environmental Affairs Committee to help us continually improve our conferences to ensure they are economically robust, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible – all while providing excellent programming. These guidelines not only describe what ACI-NA has been doing for many years, but also outline additional steps we hope to take in the future as we incorporate sustainability into our operations.

ACI-NA is excited to announce that for the first time we have launched a carbon offset program for the Environmental Affairs Workshop attendees' air travel! Thanks to our generous sponsors C&S Companies and Haley Aldrich, we were able to purchase enough carbon offsets to cover the emissions from the flights of over 400 attendees. We are also excited to partner with San Diego's The Good Traveler program to facilitate this initiative.

We look forward to seeing you today!

Kevin M. Burke
President and CEO, ACI-NA
