Recently there have been a number of questions, and some confusion, on at least two points regarding county obligations relative to implementation of the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act (GSICA). The attached article provides more information on business licenses and other public benefits affected by this legislation.

 
The Records and Information Management Services (RIMS) section has completed development of the Local Government Records Management Program Evaluation Tool. This tool has been posted on the RIMS Web site and is now ready for use. It consists of five steps for program development characterized by practices and behaviors that build from each preceding step, ultimately leading to an organizational records program.

 
Governor Sonny Perdue and U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez urge consumers to prepare for the upcoming digital television transition by applying for coupons to be used toward the purchase of two digital-to-analog converter boxes.
