AFA Forest Products is proud to announce that William (Billy) O’Brien is the new Branch Manager for the Moncton Location. Billy has many years experience in the Building Distribution area and is looking at serving and growing the business with all the dealers.
Please take the time to congratulate Billy on his new position.

Ace Canada recently announced that they will not host a Spring Buying Show in Winnipeg this year and, in its place they will offer dealers online bookings, special promotions, pallet offers, vendor specials and extended dating for their fall and winter seasonal needs.

“Dealers have told us that they would save money by booking their products online. Vendors have expressed interest in attending only one show per year,” said Bill Morrison, Divisional Vice President. “And, of course we are aware that the spring is a very busy time of year for dealers.”

This will allow dealers to save money on travel, save time, thus increasing their return on investment. The timing of the bookings will be spread over a few months, starting as early as February, allowing dealer’s time to review their fall and winter seasonal needs.

With the improved speed and availability of information online, more and more dealers are choosing to stay in their stores during the spring show dates.

“As part of Lowe’s Canada network we welcomed the opportunity to rethink our offers,” continued Morrison. “We are always looking at ways to help create a higher top line, fatter bottom line for dealers.”

The dates for the Fall National Buying Market are September 30 – October 2, 2017 at the Winnipeg RBC Convention Centre.
