RLH Corporation will hold its 2017 Global Brand Showcase and Expo Dec. 4-6 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This invitation-only event is designed to provide franchisees with educational workshops and interactive activities focused on revenue-generating ideas and strategies, details about the direction of the company, and networking and social events to boost business. All AAHOA officers will be attending and speaking at this event.
 
  
The world’s largest hotel investment conference kicks off in a couple months (Jan. 22-24) at the JW Marriott & Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) speakers and panelists will discuss a wide variety of topics regarding hotel investment, development and acquisitions. On Tuesday, Jan. 23, AAHOA President & CEO Chip Rogers will moderate a panel discussion on franchise strategies. Rogers will also sit on a panel at ALIS Law, which will take place just before ALIS (Jan. 22) at the Residence Inn and Courtyard Los Angeles. The panel will discuss the 2018 midterm elections and the potential impact on the hotel industry. While ALIS covers issues and opportunities related to buying, selling and building hotels, ALIS Law focuses on legal issues that owners and operators face after the deal closes.
