On January 31, SCRWA will say farewell to two current employees.
Patrick Jackson, SCRWA Executive Vice President was hired in 2000 as a Water Circuit Rider and provided on-site technical assistance to water utility system members. Patrick became the acting Executive Director in 2009 and has been instrumental in representing our industry in both Columbia and in Washington, DC when legislation affecting utility systems were being considered. Patrick has provided testimony to legislative committees, made phone calls and face-to-face visits to congressmen, senators, and house members to ensure they consider the effects their decisions have on the water and wastewater utility systems in South Carolina. Due to his diligence, knowledge, leadership and commitment Patrick has been a huge asset to SCRWA and the Rural Water team. Patrick has accepted a position at Consolidated Pipe and Supply effective February.
Kevin Whitsett, SCRWA Water Circuit Rider II began working with SCRWA in 2009. At that time he was recently retired from Charleston Water System. Kevin has been extremely valuable to SCRWA with his extensive technical knowledge and has been an important part of the Rural Water team. Kevin will begin working at the Folly Beach Water System in February.
The SCRWA Board and Staff would like to say thank you to both of these guys for their dedication and hard work to the association. Both Patrick and Kevin will be sorely missed by the entire "Rural Water Family". We wish them well in their future endeavors.
