Professional Connection - Thursday, Jan. 26 from 5:30 - 6:30pm, Regency Ballroom AB, West Tower (Gold Level)
Wendy Craven, WDSRA Manager of Support Services, will lead this interactive networking opportunity for students to interact with professionals who have experience in their area of interest. We are looking for all levels of professionals - coordinators, supervisors, managers, superintendents and directors who would be interested in meeting with students to provide some insight into what you do in the profession. Please fill out attached form and send to Wendy at WDSRA if you are interested in assisting. If you cannot make the event, but have some agency items to donate (t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, mugs, etc...), please contact Wendy. The goal is to get one raffle giveaway per student that attends. Your agency's assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Student Resume Review & Mock Interviews, Friday, Jan. 27 from 1:30 – 2:30pm, McCormick, West Tower (Silver Level)
Kevin Romejko, Palatine Park District Human Resources Manager, will lead this session. Professionals and students will review the student’s resume together and conduct mock interviews to prepare them for the process of interviewing for internships or entry level positions. Professionals will have the opportunity to correspond over the course of the month following conference to enhance their resume. These resumes will be shared with the membership in early March. This session will serve as a great opportunity for networking and connect talented students to agencies. If you are interested in helping by reviewing resumes or conducting mock interviews, please contact Kevin to secure a spot at this session.
