According to ALTA’s preliminary 2011 Second-Quarter Market Share Analysis, California generated the most title insurance premiums during the second quarter of 2011 at $320 million, down 8.8 percent compared to the first-quarter of 2010. Overall, the title insurance industry generated $2.3 billion in title insurance premiums during the second quarter of 2011, down $2.33 billion during the same period a year ago. (end)
 
ClosingCorp announced its SmartGFE Calculator can be embedded on a title company’s website to automatically calculate title and settlement rates, transfer taxes and recording fees for Good Faith Estimates (GFE). ClosingCorp operates the Title Wizard, launched with the CLTA in 2007 to provide title cost estimates to consumers. (end)
